Operate handheld grinders and sanders to remove excess materials or burrs from internal and external sheet metal surfaces to prep for painting and/or powder coating. Responsibilities:
Inspect, feel, and measure work pieces to ensure that surfaces and dimensions meet specifications.
Wipe surfaces clean.
Place finished parts on pallets; set aside defective parts.
Check parts with the Inspector to ensure they meet blueprint specifications.
Fill out job travelers, time sheets, inspection documents and any other paperwork associated with the part.
Repair and maintain all equipment used.
Follows all safety policies and procedures.
Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
