Local manufacturing company in Putnam CT is seeking machine operators. -- Work from job orders, work folders, and verbal and/or written work instructions.  Tend machine and maintain machine cycle as specified. -- Monitor production, detect quality problems and solicit assistance in adjustments to machine, as required.  -- Remove parts form machine. De-gate part from runner system by hand or fixture.  Use knives, cutting pliers, drills or deburring tools to trim flash or high gates as required.   --  Visually inspect molded parts at intervals specified in work folder.  Use micrometers, verniers, go-no-go gauges, and other measuring tools to ensure products meet all requirements and specifications.  Segregate and label non-conforming product.  Document quality findings and /or complete non-conformance reports as specified. -- Package parts in manner specified such as layer packing or bulk packing.  Assure the movement of product to next operation.  Grind scrap and runners as needed, recording scrap on production order.   Label containers with part number, name, lot number, quantity, etc.  Complete all production paperwork in specified manner.  --  Perform secondary operations as assigned. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report these and any unusual situations to supervisor or troubleshooter immediately.  Comply with all safety rules and procedures during the course of duties.  Perform general housekeeping duties and maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition.   --  Requirements:  Must be US Citizen or hold a permanent resident card.  High school diploma or GED.  Safety conscience, reliable, have dependable transportation.  Steel toed footwear and safety glasses. --  This is a Temp-Perm position.
